Visitor’s Guide to Canada Parks

Canada is celebrating 150th birthday across the country this year. In order to invite visitors and Canadians to celebrate the anniversary together, all Canadian parks are offering free admissions and there also lots of events for visitors to Canada to engage in this year. In this article, we will provide excellent information for tourists to Canada along with parks travel and celebration information.

Find a Region

There are more than 40 national parks and park reserves in Canada. To plan your visit, it is better started plan by region. For example, if plan to visit British Columbia, you can visit Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Inside the park, there is a rain forest, a long beach with stunning shoreline, you can paddle and surfing in the waves. Other options would be traveling to Quebec. You can experience a whale watching cruise, then visit a UNESCO world heritage site – the Fortifications of Quebec. For visitors to Canada, visiting a park is a great way to celebrate the 150th birthday.

Participate in Festivals and Events

In 2017, Canada parks will hold a series exciting festivals and events such as Soldier for a day at Halifax Citadel National  Historic Site, Fun Family Festival at Port-Royal National Historic Site, Fort George Murder Mystery at Fort George National Historic Site, etc. All of these activities are family friendly for people visiting Canada. Things to Do When Visiting Parks in Canada

Whether you are looking for entertainment for the whole family or adventure, parks in Canada will offer unique experiences to suit your needs. For example, at Fort St. James National Historic Site in British Colombia’s Northern interior, you will have a chance to experience life in 1896. It is recommended to spend a night in the historical Murray house and sleep in 1896’s memories. One of the most famous national parks in Canada to visit is Banff National Park in Alberta with its scenic mountains, wildlife and historic hotels such as Fairmont Lake Louise.
